May 13.— The P..:shford Manor Stakes for two-year-old colts and the Clark Handicap for matured horses, are the chief fixtures at Church ill Downs this week. The former will be run Wednesday, while the Clark will be decided Saturday. The Bashford Manor at trailed 102 entries, comprising the pick of the juvenile colt division of the west. Among the number are several that have shown good p-rfnrmances already, while there are otlyr highly-bred youngsters that are expected to develop into good racers. Among the more prominent candidates an- K. R. Bradleys Believe Me lirls; Billy Kelly, in the string of W. F. Poison: Jago and Major larke. owned by Jefferson Living ston: Mack Carner. the Misseuri-hrctl. and a double winner this spriig: Hidden Jewel, also a winner: Bugle Call and Col. Taylor. Billy Kelly, winner of Ike Idle Hour Stakes, and one other nice, is regarded as the liest colt shown thus far and he BHpeatB to be the most formidable of the Bashford Manor nominees.
