Won easily; second and third driving. PURLING raced DANCING CARNIVAL into early defeat, then drew clear on the stretch turn and won casing up. NELLK YORKE was shuflied back in the first eighth, then gained steadily and finished with a lielated rush, but could never get to the winner. DANCING CARNIVAL displayed the most early N|»-ed. hut tired as if short. D. C. GIRL quit badly. SWEEPLET closed a big gap. UNWISE CHILD showed improvement. LADY DAVIS finished well. Won driving; second and third the same. »;. M. MILLER, after close pursuit of the leader, drew clear in the last sixteenth, but tired and just lasted long enough to win. PIERRE-A-FEU was far back of the leaders in the early running, but rescinded gamely when called on after having come extremely wide into the homestretch and would have won in another stride. JULIA L. raced into the lead, but tired in the last eighth. PRESTON LYNN gave way after going three-quarters. ARBITRATOR was eased up in the last quarter. QQ9fifi THIRD RACE— 1 Mile and 70 Yards. DARKEY slipped through next to the rail while rounding the last turn, but tired in the final drive. HARRY BURGOYNE t-et the pace under a pull, but tired in the last quarter. CUDGEL Ix-gan slowly, but gained rapidly in the last half when called on and, wearing the leaders down i:i the final sixty yards, won drawing clear. SPUR was well ridden and took the lead in the homestretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. STRAIGHT FORWARD met with early interference and raced wide throughout, but closed a big gap and finished with a rush. THUNDERER was in the lead when lie fell lame in the homestretch and was eased up. GEX ran well. STARGAZER showed the most early *|ieed and probably was short. GREEN GOLD had a rough race. NEPPERHAN saved ground on the turns and made a fast finish. KOYAL ENSIGN was in tight quarters in the early running and finished fast and gamely when clear. EYELID closed a big gap and so did SNAPDRAGON II. SYCAMOOR ran as if short.
