GREEX MINT began slowly and raced wide all the way, but closed a big gap gamely under vigorous riding and won drawing clear. VIRAGO raced close up in the early running and, having secured a dear course in the homestretch, came again in the closing strides. ZULEIKA forced her way through the last quarter and outstayed TEDDY ROUSSEAU at the finish. The latter ran forwardly throughout and held on gamely. COMFORT was hard ridden, took the lead in the last eighth, but swerved badly under punishment and interfered with POVERINA, causing the latter to pull up. POYERINA set a fust pace to the last eighth. RURLINGAME saved ground on the stretch turn and held on gamely. COUNSEL ran a good race and appears on edge. PRESTON LYNN ran poorly. FLAGS closed an early gait and followed the earlv leaders closely afterwards, then held on gamely iu the final drive. JACK HAKE JR. was shuffled back at the half-mile post when next to the inner rail, then came around the leaders in the homestretch and, finishing gamely, would have been second iu another stride. CUM SAH was forced back at the start but gained steadily and closed a big gap. MATINEE IDOL showed speed. SUN BRIAR was not persevered with, but appears fit.
