— p FIXING AUTOMOBILE ROAD TO LATONIA iiicinnati. O.. June 11.— For the benefit of those who may make the trip to the track by automobile, the Litoiha Jockey Club management has recently complete,! the oiling of some two miles of the pike leading from Covington to the course. The work was undertaken by the jockey club because the city authorities of Covington could not see their way clear to provide the funds for it. I*ist pear, in addition to the usual taxes, the Ijitoiiia Jockey Club paid the ,itv of Covington S10.4MI0 as a special li cense fee. s,, that municipality is deriving no little direct financial benefit from the racing enterprise that is within its Ismlers, besides the benefits Masai iu indirect ways. The oiling of the pike will add materially to the comfort and pleasure of those who may desire to make the trip to the course by automobile. Incidentally it may l e mentioned that Manager Ilach meister has worked out some new plans for the handling of the automobile traffic that are expected to reduce i-ongostion to the vanishing petal Announcement of these new arrangements will l o made in a day or two.
