i i RACING STATISTICS OF TEE WESTCHESTER RACING ASSOCIATIONS SPRING MEETING AT BELMONT PARK The spring meeting of the Westchester Racing Association began at Itelmont Park May 27 and came to an end on June l." . embracing eighteen racing days, during which time 10S races were decided and WM.4M distributed in stakes and purses. The daily average distribution amounted to the goodly sum of _ flf.tffl. The racing was of the highest class, with a majority of the liest horses in training furnishing I the competition. Klliu Queen showed that she is one of the best juveniles seen in the east this year by winning the Juveuile and Fashion Stakes, while Johreu gave substantial evidence that he is a three-year-old of the highest calibre by beating older horses of merit in the Suburban Handicap and later decisively defeating War Cloud and others of his own age in tlie Belmont Stakes. The attendance during the meeting was of satisfying proportions, with crowds of 20.0H or more on several holiday occasions. i ! , ■ ; i t i ■ I - f - 1 V - e 0 . 1 r I s i- - - -. s ■ C I I to ° • ,s 0 , „ ii ,, in 1 H.
