WOOD VIOLET ran well and made a game finish, hut eouhl not get to the leader. OOLDINU raced gamely, but. tired. ELDERKEX was much used iu early racing with the winner and gave way in the stretch. EMPRESS set a good pace and stayed further than usual. WOODTHRUSH closed up rapidly in the stretch drive. NOLAWN ran fairly well. BLAZONRY was hard ridden all the way and ran a dull race. The latter swung wide when entering the stretch and finished rapidly, but could not quite get up. LADY ROSEBUD ran in improved form, but tired slightly in the stretch drive.
