June 27. — Twenty-nine yearling thoroughbreds were sold at auction Tuesday evening ut Durlands Uiding Academy. They were the property of former 1nited States Senator J. N. Camden and John H. Morris. A chestnut colt by Peter Quince — Yolanda brought the top price. He went to Samuel Riddle of Philadelphia, owner of the C.len Kiddle Farms, for 1918.sh,000. He is a well built and well rounded out fellow and is a half-brother to Honeydew, a stake winner, and Papp. George W. Lofts colt, which was one f the best of last years two yoar-ol.ls. A. chestnut colt by Peter Quince — Lycliee Nut also attracted some spirited bidding. He was finally knocked down to James MacManus, who was acting for Walter M. Jeffords of Philadelphia, for ,100. A baby son of Luke McLuke — Fontarabia brought ,700. J. H. Morris was the successful bidder. Andrew Miller, a member of the Jockey Club. bought a chestnut son of Plaudit — Wild Thyme for 00.
