NO MORE ISOLATION ISOLATIONAmerica America has been isolated it has been an inevit ¬ able feature of our development We have been making our country in our own way and as circum ¬ stances compelled But we shall never so stand apart again We joined ourselves to the world out sido when we oamo to the relief and protection of Cuba and found ourselves in charge of the Philip ¬ pines of whoso existence we had hardly boon aware We became a closer element in it when we joined with the allies to fight an enemy of civilization We shall remain a recognized part of it from this time forth a perpetual ally of all the governments that represent progress We shall learn from them and they from us Indianapolis Star
