JUDGE SHELLEY TO PRESIDE AT LAUREL Will Be in Stand at Lesington and Churchill Downs and Then Go to Haryland Lexington Ky August 12 Judge William II Shelley will be the presiding official in the stand during the twentyseven days of the meeting at Laurel Md which is to open October 1 This an ¬ nouncement was made by Colonel Matt J Whin general manager of the Laurel track upon bis ar ¬ rival from the east and was supplemented by a confirmatory statement from Judge Shelley who came over from his home at Louisville for a con ¬ ference with Colonel Viun ViunI I will serve at the Lexington and Churchill Downs meetings and after Churchill Downs 1 will go to Laurel said Judge Shelley I have ad ¬ vised General Manager John Hachmeister Ijf the Douglas Park and Uitonia Jockey Clubs to that effect and the same time I expressed to him regret at my inability to continue In Kentucky to the end of the season
