SAN FORD YEARLINGS AT BELMONTPARK BELMONTPARKTrainer Trainer Burch Has Fifteen Youngsters There Twelve of Which Are ForeignBred XEW YORK December 10 Trainer Preston Burch has fifteen yearlings belonging to John San ford quartered at Belmont Park for the winter Twelve of the youngsters arc foreign bred while the three others are products of Mr Sanfords Hur ricana Farm at Amsterdam AmsterdamProbably Probably the most impressive looking youngster is Titanium a slashing big dark bay or brown colt by Radium Philistia by Isinglass St Natalia by Common Besides licing a colt of extremely rich breeding this is a really grand looking individual He is a large yearling and of great length from nose to buttocks He has a long rather loan but lieaiitifully tapered neck gracefully but not extravagantly arched and crested His barrel is also unusually long and his quarters which show great length from hiy to hock and hip lo buttock are smoothly outlined and immensely muscled His croup which is not particularly prominent is nearly as high as his hip points a feature which is not often seen in these days when horses are being bred for extreme speed over sprint ¬ ing distances and his shoulders are more rangy and much more oblique than those most frequently seen in these days of last surinters Although much more smoothly anil gracefully outlined this colt bears in many respects a striking resemblance to the great Longfellow LongfellowAnother Another strikingly good looking colt although of the opposite type when compared to Titanium is Dominican a chestnut colt by Predicateur Love Apple by Cliuctanunda This is a colt of moderate height considerable length and immense substance for his inches He is a tremendously powerful look ¬ ing colt and lu looks to have nower enough to carry almost anything anythingOne One of the finest of the homebred yearlings is a bright bay colt Irish Dream bv The Curragh Trance by Ben Brush This is a beautifully bal ¬ anced colt of good size fine range and high finish He is a good looking colt all over but from his withers back he seems to be almost ideal He is marked with a blaze three white feet and some gray hairs in his tail Iontypridd is a bay filly by Llangibby sou of Wildf lower Concussion Orange Lady by illiam the Third her dam being Iady Cynosure sister to the dam of Polymeius This is a goodsized filly and is nossessed of an admirable conformation Jean Buliant is good look ¬ ing Frenchbred colt by Kcoiieii Padaue II by Ajax Betsiiida AjaxBetsiiida is a beautifully proportioned bay filly by Rockton Winning Witch by Broomstick This filly aimears to blend in her conformation much of the outfiue of her paternal grandsire Broomstick Serviletta is a highly finished black filly havini a gray star or splash in her face just a trifl lower than one would expect to find a star She is of moderate size and fair substance with ad ¬ mirable racing conformation she is by Isidore son of Amphion Isis by Kend Or Sadaquada by Rockton Heathertoii another of the foreign breds is u big fellow and rather finely formed al ¬ though his fore legs are not all that one might wish them He is by Tracery Loiili by Flying Fox Pocatello is a little fellow a chestnut by Mohawk II Cayudutta Rubidium CayuduttaRubidium is particularly fine looking chestnut filly by Radium r Icur d Orange bv William the Third This filly has it sidendid racing conforma ¬ tion and admirable MZO range and substance Cordelier is another good individual among Mr Sanfords foreignbred colts He is a fine upstand ¬ ing bay by Rabelais Red Cross and he is distinctly of the Rabelais type rlh other yearlings in Mr Sanfords stable are Rosary br f by Macdonald II Monestier Venturesome ch f by Voter Spu inante Diomedes ch c by Voter Fille de Guerre and Eucreuite a b f by Rockton Rockwater
