JOCKEY CRUMP TO RETURN TO SADDLE SADDLENEW NEW ORLEANS La December 17 Willie Crump the lefthanded jockey who was a riding sensation down here several winters ago again will be seen in the saddle here Crumps contract has been sold by Ed Moore to Jefferson Livingston and Crump will ride the Livingston horses here this winter John McCormack is training the Livingston string stringEd Ed Moore brought Crump to the races and signed him to an ironbound contract After leaving here the winter he was so successful Crump slumped into wretched form and dropped almost into ob ¬ scurity as other good boys forged to the front It was said at the time Crtmip could not get along with his contract employer Ed Moore In fact Crump according to the story refused to do any more riding for Moore and Moore by refusing to sell bis contract automatically kept Crump off the track though compelled to pay him Crump went to work in a New York shoe store but since Moore has decided to sell his contract has decided to resume the saddle saddleHe He probably will start riding in a few days and if he Is anything like the Crump of old will be another big addition to the brilliant array of riding talent which will be seen here
