RACING STATISTICS OF THE JEFFERSON PARISH FAIR ASSOCIATIONS WINTER MEET-ING OF THIRTY-ONE DAYS The Jefferson Parish Fair Associations winter meeting began November 23 and came to an end December 31, embracing, thirty-one days of racing, two less than regularly scheduled owing to an unavoidable suspension of the sport on account of the flooded condition of the track. Altogether there were 18ft races decided and 0,400 distributed among the winning owners, making a daily average distribution of ,910. The meeting was not a huge success, principally because of the inclement weather which pre-vailed during the greater part of it. The continual rains left the track in the worst condition possible and unsafe to race over, with the result that the racing secretary found it extremely difficult to fill this dailj program, the fields in most cases being small and composed of the cheaper grade of horses. , J. O. Talbott was the most successful of the owners participating in the meeting, his horses accounting for 1919.sh,070. The following are the owners who won 00 or more each: Owner. 1st. 2d. 3d. Amt.
