GENERAL NEWS NOTES OF THE DAY WASHINGTON. D. C, January 2. "President Wilson has his plan for a League of Nations well in hand, all reports to the contrary notwithstanding," was the gist of confidential information received in Washington today. It was received with satisfaction by the Presidents adherents, who also were told that reports of differences between Premiers Clemenceau and Lloyd George "were at utter variance with the facts." CHICAGO, 111., January 2. Harry A. Wheeler, Federal food administrator for Illinois announces the discontinuance of "fair price lists" which retailers were permitted to charge consumers. The Federal prohibition against profiteering, however, continues, while the administration still retains control over cold storage plants.
