9 MAX HIRSCH ON HIS WAY TO CUBA NEW YORK, N. Y., January 2. Max Hirsch left here for Havana yesterday morning to look over the eight horses leloiiging to G. AV. Loft. Since the deatli of W. F. Martiu the horses have been in charge of Earl Linnell. Mr. Hirsch will remain in Cuba for about a mouth. If the horses are doing well under the care of Linnell he will probably continue training tliem until the close of the Havana season. Mr. Loft leaves for Cuba early next week.
