SPRING RACING IN CANADA PROBABLE TORONTO, Ont., January 11. The Ottawa Evening Journal publishes the following: "A review is being made by tlie Dominion cabinet of the various orders in council which were passed under the authority of tlie war measures act Some will be wiped out, some will be modified and others will be held pending ratifying legislation. Among those which will likely disappear is the one prohibiting betting on tlie race tracks, which temporarily put an end to racing in Canada. The order provided that it should last for six months after the close of the war, but officially the war is not over. The racing men would like action taken immediately so the racing could be resumed next spring."
