; i I : 3 1 1 J THIRTY LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS At Havana last week jockey R. Troise rode seven winners. A peculiar thing is that previously in the month of January he had not succeeded in winning a single race; so this burst of success came to him in a heap. At New Orleans J.r Mooney also scored seven winning mounts, putting the two lads in a tie for the honors of the week. C. Robinson was not far behind them with a credit of six. wins, and his excellent percentage tells1 it own story and explains his present leadership. U. Liihsford did well with five successes and is now riding in good form. No great significance attaches to jockey-ship statistics at this early period of the year.
