HACHMEISTER TO RUN SPRING MEETING CINCINNATI, O.. February 19. It will be of considerable interest to racing fans to learn that John Hachmeister. who for years has managed the La-tonia and Douglas Park tracks, will remain in charge of Latonia during the spring meeting. He does this at ithe earnest entreaty of the new syndicate, it is reported. He also will have charge of the first running of the 0,000 Latonia Championship Stakes for three-vear-olds, at a mile and three-quarters, which will be run next fall at the Covington track. Mr. Hachmeister is in receipt of numerous entries and qualifications for this event, and will give out the list in ii few days. The retention of Mr. Hachmeister as manager at Latonia for The spring meeting probably means that there will be little change in policy there, and that the usual list of stakes will be run; however, with an increase in values. Churchill Downs has taken over the principal stakes run at Douglas Park.
