CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The big steel grandstand at Benning, the old home of the Washington Jockey Club, is being dismantled. Lewis Garth has arrived at Benning. witli the horses of his father and a number of the Parr thoroughbreds. Former jockey Phil MtiKgrave has been engaged to assist the veteran trainer W. r. Burch with his stable of horses quartered at the Benning track. The first real Epsom Derby since 1914, when H. B. Duryeas Durbar II. won at 20 to 1 over twenty-nine others, is to be run at Epsom Downs June 4 next. Albert Simons is said to have some exceptionally fine looking two-year-olds, the property of II. 1. Whitney, at Benniug, where they will be prepared for spring racing. A brother to Hie speedy Flags is said to be a wonder.
