ANNUAL MEETING OF HUNTS COMMITTEE Director and Other Officers for 1919 Elected General Resumption of Hunt Meetings Planned, NEW YORK, X. Y., February 21. The annual meeting of the Hunts Committee of tlie National Stfeplechase and Hunt Association was held at thu office- of the association yesterday. Present at the meeting were J. E. Davis, representing New York; Henry G. Vangiiun, representing New England; Iteruard Fenwick, representing Maryland; II. S. Page, representing Virginia; Kufus C. Finch, representing New Jersey; Henry W. Dull and A. Henry Higginson. representing the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association. F. S. Von Stad and Charles 13. Mather of Pennsylvania were the only members absent. A. Henry Higglnson was elected chairman for l!l!l. G. Jternard Fenwick was elected vice- hairman. J. E. Davis, Henry W. Dull and A. Henry Higglnson were named for the executive committee. Frank J. Bryan was appointed haudi-iipixir for all meetings run under sanction of the Hunts Committee. Keports tendered at the meeting indicate that the ltd of the war will bring a general resumption of hunt meetings at the many point. The details of these meetings will be announced later, and during lie early summer and from the end of August iia 1 1 1 Into in the autumn practically every Saturday il be utilized for a meeting, at which generous Purse will bo offered for races on the flat as well as those for over the Jumps. Many owners of prominence will co-operate with Wntions of purses and plate, appreciating the great gtod done to racing as a whole by these nonprofessional meetings. This will apply to meetings at points where racing lias been conducted for many years, and to the many new locations that Mill come iuon the circuit.
