KENTUCKY JOCKEY CLUB DIRECTORS LEXINGTON Ky March 23 Thus far nine of the twelve members of the board of directors of tlie Kentucky Jockey Club have been elected They are Messrs Johnson N Camden of Versailles pres ¬ ident Matt J Winn of Louisville vicepresident and general manager Catesby Woodford of Bour ¬ bon County Lawrence Jones Henning Chambers Patrick J Hanlon Robert W Biugham Alvin T Hert and Charles F Grainger all of Louisville It is rumored here that one of the remaining three seats on the board will be filled by a Lexington man and that the other two willbe occupied by se ¬ lections from northern Kentucky possibly Jerome B Respess of Erlanger and Richard P Ernst of Covington Thg Ixxington member may be Robert L Baker but the names of several others are being mentioned Baker is the largest individual stockholder residing in Fayette County Sherman Goodpaster it is said is to have an assistant as secretary and treasurer in the person of Francis Douglas of Boyle County who was private secretary to Governor James B McCreary and before that sporting editor of the New York World WorldThat That the people generally have confidence in the future of racing under the new order and organiza ¬ tion is forcefully demonstrated in the demand for shares and the expressions of regret from so many persons who for one reason or another failed to make application for stock until after the books were closed It was subscribed for so quickly that it was all gone while many persons were turning over in their minds the questions incident to new movements and reorganizations reorganizationsPresident President Camden is expected back in Kentucky from Arizona about April 15
