POETHLYNS GRAND NATIONAL VICTORY VICTORYLONDON LONDON England March 28 The Grand Na ¬ tional Steeplechase was run over the Aintree course at Liverpool today before an immense assemblage of spectators and was won by Mrs Hugh Peels bay gelding Poethlyn by Rydal Head Fine Champagne carrying 175 pounds E AAT HopeJohnstones chestnut gelding Ballyboggan by Frustrum Gentle Annie 104 pounds was second and J E Dugdales chestnut gelding Pollen by Pictou Folle Farine 158 pounds finislied third Poethlyn was the favorite and won the wartime substitute for this race at Gatwick last year
