STARS START AT OAKLAWN Eternal Applauded Before and After His Easily Won Race Eed Red Rose Gives Another Dis ¬ play of Her Unflinching Game ness Grey Eagle a Victor HOT SPRINGS Ark March 29 Oaklawn of ¬ fered its patrons this afternoon a card of features that would have done credit to any track in the country and it resulted in bringing out the full racing strength in these parts Stellar interest centered in the nurse race which introduced Eternal among the starters It was the crack colts initial appearance as a threeyearold and his performance held interest even for the most hardened of turf followers followersThe The appearance of last years twoyearold star on the track was the signal for a spontaneous and prolonged outburst of applause and followed him until well on his way to the post It was r newed later on his return to the scales an easy victor over those he met Eternal showed all his oldtime speed and was under mild restraint for the entire race of five and a half furlongs win ¬ ning hard held by a comfortable margin from Docod with Drummond following Discussion as to Ifis chances in the Kentucky Derby naturally followed but no one outside of owner McClelland was posi tive in their conviction The race proved con ¬ clusively that Eternal is well along in his prepara ¬ tion despite his appearance of still being on the high side He will probably be benefited to v
