HORSES IN CARE OF R P BROOKS BROOKSLOUISVILLE LOUISVILLE Ky March 20 It P Brooks who has trained a public stable for many years and who developed Daddy Holbert and other fast ones has ten horses under his1 care at Churchill Downs Among the number are several highly regarded twoyearolds The latter include Hercules chest ¬ nut gelding by Zeu Black Silk which will be raced under the colors of Kohn Schulten well known local business men an unnamed black filly ty Jacjc Atkin rNatalie p the property of Ti W Bell also of this city and a finelooking filly by Zeus that will be raced in the interest of L M Casey All of these youngsters have shown up well fn their preliminary trials Other horses in the stable include the speedy King Belle and the threeyearolds Say When Troben Bellesolar and Belle of Elizabethtown the sixyearold Souvenir and a filly by The Manager True Blue Bellesolar which is the property of Schulte McMeekin has been named for the Kentucky Oaks She started thrte times last year and finished in the money on each occasion Belle of Elizabetlitown is also eligible to the Oaks She is by Jack Atkin Clois teress and as a twoyearold never faced the starter She is speedy and is expected to prove a good breadwinner in her threeyearold form Jockey King Lapaille who has been galloping the stables horses all winter will ride for Brooks this year
