DEMAND FOR STALLS AT LEXINGTON LOUISVILLE Ky April 1C The demand for stabling room at the Lexington track this spring is unprecedented and AVC will be able to accommodate only about twothinls of the horses whose owners are seeking stabling room This was the statement made by Robert L Baker manager of the Lexing t6n track to a group of horsemen who were besieg ¬ ing him with requests for accommodations during the course of a visit he was paying to Churchill Downs yesterday morning Mr Baker had come over from Lexington to ascertain approximately the numl er of stalls local horsemen would require and lie was surprised to learn of the unusually heavy demand He promised to take care of all the horses that would be sent to Lexington but advised that the number from eacli stable be kept down to the minimum and urged that only those horses ready to race be shipped to the Blue Grass track trackWe We have six hundred stalls and already we have received applications for stabling room for close to one thousand horses declared Mr Baker We are doing our best to find room on the outside and this in a measure will relieve the pressure pressureFollowing Following is a revised list of the number of stalls promised local horsemen George J Long S C C Van Meter 5 0 A Bianchi 5 J L Paul 4 F J Kelley 5 W S Kilmer 5 J W McClelland 4 Waldeck Stable S W F Poison 12 Dan Lelian 4 A B Spreckels 5 J W Schorr 4 Dick Wil ¬ liams 13 J J Flanagan 2 Jefferson Livingston 12 B J Brannon 12 W F Knebelkamp J Joe Umensetter 8 T M Murphy 5 The Pastime Stable will not send any horses to Lexington The stable of Edward B McLean and Tex Forman will not send any representatives to that track
