RACING COMMISSION MEETS THURSDAY LEXINGTON Ky April 22 Judge Allie W Young vicechairman of the Kentucky State Racing Commission came to Lexington this afternoon from Morehead and instructed secretary S C Nnckols Jr to issue a call for a meeting of the commission to be held here Thursday morning at 11 oclock T 0 Keene as a solution of the professional clocking evil will propose the adoption of the fol ¬ lowing rule of the commission commissionThere There shall be employed and paid by the man ¬ agement of each race track opccating under license from this commission a man approved by this com ¬ mission who shall be known as tin official timer of exercise trials who shall furnish for the benefit of the public the time of all available trials made over the track at which he is employed Said official timer shall have one or two assistants as occasion shall require and his term of employment shall begin and end at the discretion of the manager of the track at which he is employed it being the intention to employ a man of long experience and sterling integrity upon the turf to time the horses and to have assistants to time them with him and iwst up at the secretarys office and give to the press a report upon the daily gallops and to for ¬ bid the grounds to all known touts and tipsters including owners and trainers of horses who stoop to such practices
