MORE ARRIVALS AT LOUISVILLE TRACK LOUISVILLE Ky April 22 John Lowe arrived yesterday morning bringing with him his pair of Derby candidates Cobweb and Eseovar botljr of which reached here from Hot Springs in fine fettle American Ace the colt that Lowe is training for Edward Cebrian for his Kentucky Derby engagement was sent direct from Hot Springs to Lexington LexingtonJ J C Mayes has arrived from Havana bringing with him Commander King Worth Peaceful Star and Sunduria The horses will later on be trans ¬ ferred to Lexington LexingtonTom Tom Young has been requested by James Rowe trainer for Harry Payne1 Whitney to reserve stabling room for six horses which Rowe says he will ship to Churchill Downs in the course of a few days Blue Laddie and Vindex the AAhitney Ken ¬ tucky Derby eligibles are included in the number to arrive but the identity of the other four horses has not been disclosed by Mr Rowe RoweJockey Jockey J Metcalf under contract to A B Spreck ¬ els arrived yesterday morning from Maryland where he had been riding with some measure of success He will go from here to Lexington to start riding for Bill Carroll the opening day of the meeting meetingFledgling Fledgling u chestnut filly by Peter Pan First Flight which is among the Harry Payne AAhitney twoyearolds that Mose Goldblatt brought from Hot Springs is the biggest twoyearold quartered at Churchill Downs in a good many years The filly was measured shortly after her arrival and stands seventeen hands and is still growing AVhen she appeared on the track yesterday horsemen could not be made to Iwlleve that she was not a threeyear old The filly has not started iu a race At New Orleans she was troubled with a bad knee and at Hot Springs she was strickiMi with a mild illness She is now fully recovered and is taking her train ¬ ing like the other youngsters in the barn Trainer Goldblatt has decided to rate at Lexington and will ship a part of his stable to that track AAedues duy morning
