COMPROMISE ON LATONIA LICENSE TAX CINCINNATI O April 29 Thorough a com ¬ promise effected between Matt J AVinn manager and Attorney Harvey Myers for the Kentucky Jockey Club and the city commission of Covington on the proposition of assessing a license tax against the Latonia race track Madison pike from Buena Vista to Rogers street is to IMS improved with granite or other paving to be agreed uiwn The uiwnThe Jockey Club is to pay 200 for each racing day to be applied to the cost of reconstruction which with fifty racing days will aggregate 10000 a year In additit n the Jockey Club is to pay 100 for each racing d y as a license The proposition was made by Mr Whin and was unanimously ac ¬ cepted by the con mfewioners mfewionersManager Manager Winn Iso agreed that the Jockey Club would oil Latoliia iveiiue from Madison pike to thu grandstand which he said would Involve an ex ¬ penditure of 81000
