Dreyer on War Machine they discovered they were intirely in the wrong Cudgel won just as he jdeased and it was merely a matter of how far Kande wanted him to win There was really no fontest It is unfortunate that trainer James Rowe decided at the last moment to withdraw Aindex Harry Payne AVhitneys good threeyearold Mon ¬ day night Albert Simons trainer for the AVIiitney stable declared his intention of starting Vindex and the promised threehorse race with Cudgel and Aindex as the stars brought out a big crowd in anticipation of seeing a real horse race but al ¬ though even as late as
