RACING GHOSTS AT SARATOGA SPRINGS NEAV YORK N Y April 29 A wild rumor is being circulated among the villagers of Saratoga that certain parties have purchased a large tract of land near the Geyncr Spring on which a nev race course is to be constructed These rumors have gone so far as to impress those who know nothing of racing that a meeting would be held the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks in September The source of all these rumors can ¬ not be gathered but the names of James Butler and AAillis Sharpe Kilmer werfe mentioned as pur ¬ chasers Interviewing Mr Itullcr on the subject he said he knew nothing about it and was in no way connected with any such undertaking or scheme Mr Earlocker the secretary of the Saratoga Asso ¬ ciation says he believes a large parcel of land has been purchased but doubts it being obtained tor racinK purposes
