STAKES FOR PIMLICO FALL MEETING More Money and Several New Features Added by Maryland Jockey Club BALTIMORE Md May 17 In pursuance with the policy established by the Maryland Jockey Club a few years back the stakes to be run at the fall meeting at Pimlico will be increased in added value also several new stakes will be added The list as announced by secretary William P Riggs is as follows followsWalden Walden for twoyearolds 5000 added one mile milePimlico Pimlico Autumn Handicap 3yearolds 5000 added one mile and a quarter quarterElkridge Elkridge Steeplechase 3yearolds 3000 added two miles milesManly Manly Memorial Steeplechase 4yearolds and over 10000 added two miles and a half halfBowie Bowie Handicap 3yearolds and over 10000 added mile and a half halfThe The new fixtures include a series of weightfor ¬ age races for twoyearolds and over at distances graded from threequarters of a mile up to a mile and an eighth There are three of these events and the conditions stipulate that 1000 extra will be given to the owner of the horse winning two of the races They are areWeightforAge WeightforAge twoyearolds and over 3000 added threequarters of a mile mileWeightforAge WeightforAge twoyearolds and over 3000 added one mile mileWeightforAge WeightforAge twoyearolds and over 3000 added one mile and an eighth eighthAnother Another innovation will be noted in the condi ¬ tions for the Pimlico Cup a handicap for three yearolds and over top weight 124 pounds two and a quarter miles 5000 added The Maryland Jockey Club will present 500 to the trainer of the winner 200 to the trainer of the second horse and 100 to the trainer of the third horse horseEntries Entries will also close for the Pimlico Nursery foals of 1918 to be run at the spring meeting 1920 four and a half furlongs 2500 added This is an increase of 1000 in added money over this years race
