RAIN HALTS PLATERS AT WOODBINE TORONTO Out May 20 Rain fell heavily during the night and all day today and there was no fast work attempted at Woodbine Park Geo M Hen drie was here to see his Kings Platers work but they only did slow gallops Salvo is supposed to be better than Ammunition on his work at LouU ville Providing that jockey Clifford Robinsons contract is not sold he will ride Salvo while jockey Dishmon will be on Ammunition The ThornclifV Platers are due to be worked tomorrow They have been training under difficulties owing to bucked shins but have been looming up as contenders iu their recent works The Brookdale filly May Bloom as a resultof spreading a foot Saturday will not be able to start in the Kings Plate next Saturday
