McKINLEY RETIRED UNTIL FALL W K Vanderbilts good French colt McKiiiley did not start in the Grand Prix and will not race until the fall In the race for Tchads French Derby McKinloy received a bad contusion on one of his hind legs which filled to some extent extentThe The colts trainer W Duke hoped to reduce the swelling by treatment with iced water and to some extent was successful in this but in a gal ¬ lop some days later with Tchad wherein the son of Macdonald II and Lady Despard moved par ¬ ticularly well the leg filled again againIn In consequence Duke decided to give the colt a thorough rest in view of his important autumn engagements
