SIRES FOR THE HILDRETH STUD NEW YORK N Y July 18 Further discussing his plans for the establishment of a breeding farm S C Hildreth said today todayI I have no mares but I have some young horses which will be coming on and In all probability as fast as I shall want them Lucullite would make a good sire He has plenty of speed and can carry weight while his breeding is about all that could be desired Trap Rock his sire is a brother to Tracery and his dam Lucky Lass was by Qr mondalo second dam the good race mare Lux Casta by the great English horse Donovan and his third dam Lticasta by Hawkstone Then it will not be long before Purchase and Cirrus may be ready to be retired although it is possible that Cirrus might be considered too small to be a promising sire but he is not smaller than either Broomstick or Ben Brush at his age
