SARATOGA TRACK CAREFULLY GUARDED GUARDEDSARATOGA SARATOGA SPRINGS N Y August 7 The system of policing the Saratoga trdck at night has proved so satisfactory that the Jockey Club has re ¬ quested all associations under its jurisdiction to adopt the same methods At seven oclock every night six special policemen start duty and patrol all night Each one has a time clock and each officer has to check up with his associate every lipur which insures their being on duty continu ¬ ously At every gate a Pinkerton man is on duty to inspect the identification badge of every stublu hand who wishes to pass The identification liadge is complete in description as to weight licfsht complexion aud color of the holder Tlie system hs expehsive but is giving satisfactory results and was arranged by secretary Eariocker Who has glyeu specific orders to arrest aiiyohe not iirlviligeii and bring a charge of trespass
