TURNS DPWN NEW ORLEANS OFFER SARATOGA SPRINGS N Y August 7 Frank J Bryan secretary of tlie United Hunts was offered the position of presiding steward and manager by the Business Mens Association at the Fair Grounds tract in New Orleans It was at tlie old Fair Grounds course that Mr Bryan held his first official position on a race track when fie suc ¬ ceeded Capt James Reese as presiding steward His work in the stand there gained him many friends in tlie Crescent City and lie was quite re luctant in being forced to turn down the offer to return to his first love
