ground on the stretch turn and made a fast finish HAMPDEN was in close quarters all the way and ran a good race ENCRINITE finished gamely through the last quarter but was in behind the loaders in the closing strides THUNDERBIRD began slowly and closed an immense gap SAND RIVER II displayed the most early speed but came wide when entering the stretch and tired AMERI ¬ CAN SOLDIER finished fast
