CANADAS LEADING TURFMAN IS DEAD DEADBUFFALO BUFFALO N Y August 19 Joseph E Seagram died at his home in Waterloo Ont at seven min ¬ utes past 10 oclock last night He had been sick for a long time and was seventynine years old Mr Seagram was a man of great wealth and prominent in large lines of business For many years lie had found his relief from business cares in racing and in many years figured as the leader of the Canadian turf making a record in Canadas chief race the Kings Plate at Toronto hard to equal He was a successful breeder as well as 1 owner and the most of his successes were achieved with horses of bis own breeding
