LEXINGTON STABLE ROOM AT PREMIUM PREMIUMLEXINGTON LEXINGTON Ky August 19 How to take oare of all the horses the owners or trainers of whicli are seeking stalls for the Lexington meet ing Is more than a problem asserted manager R L Baker as he opened his mail this morning There is only one answer and that is build more stables but that wont happen in time for our forthcoming meeting of seven days which Is to open September 13 Some of the owners will have to divide their stables leaving part at Latonia or Xxnilsville and sending here only the horses they will race here hereTrack Track superintendent John M Keegan checked up the horses in quarters within the track inclosure yesterday and reported 347 twoyearolds and over ninetynine yearlings and twenty f our ponies The yearlings are all to l e off the grounds by Septem ¬ ber 1 and the stalls now occupied by ponies are to be given over to thoroughbreds as soon as they are required Just where the ponies will be put has not been determined but some makeshift ar ¬ rangement will be required As soon as the year ¬ lings leave the grounds their stalls will be disin ¬ fected as a precaution against tiie communication of disease to the horses in training that take their place
