OConnor is only a recent arrival from overseas. Naturalist ran the three-quarters of a mile over the straight course in 1:11 in winning the Autumn Ilighwcight Handicap at . Belmont Park Thursday instead of 1:13 as printed, due to an error in telegraphic transmission. War Marvel, which won the sixth race at Belmont Park Thursday, was purchased by J. K. L. Ross from A. K. Macomber last fall along with Motor Cop and AVar Pennant, the trio costing Commander Ross 5,000, according to reports at the time of the sale.
