Won easily; second .and third driving. ARRAH JO OX displayed the most speed, raced VAGUE into defeat and drew away into an easy lead in the stretch. THUS. F. McMAHOX slipped through next to the inside mil in the stretch and, finishing gamely, outstayed VAGUE in tin? final drive. The latter showed the most speed in the early running, but tired. SURPLICE ran well and finished gamely. SUXXIXGDALE closed a big gap. UNCLES LASSIE lacked speed. PEERLESS OXE ran out on the last turn. The winner, entered for 00. was bid up to ,505 and bought in. GRIER was a forward contender for the entire race and finished gamely through the last eighth. DOMINIQUE showed the most speed from the start and made the pace fast, but tired in the final drive. CLEOPATRA gained steadily and finished fast and gamely under punishment. UPSET met with interference at the quarter post and came on gamely when clear in the last eighth.
