j I I STEEPLECHASE ASSOCIATION MEETING NEW YORK, N. Y., September 13. At a meeting of the stewards of the National Steeplechase and Hunt Association, held Friday, September 12. there were present H. S. Page, Henry J. Morris, J. E. Davis, F. S. Von Stade, A. llenry Higginson and Henry AV. Bull. Mr. J. F. Flanagan. Jr., was granted a certificate to ride as a gentleman rider during the year 1919, subject to the approval of the Hunts Committee. The following licenses were granted: Trainers John II. Dailey, James K. Frayling and John S. Colford. Jockeys John Meany, Thos. O. Parrette. M. OConner and F. Dreece. Mr. Henry AV. Sage was elected a member of the association. Mr. I-ewis Garth was fined 00 and is warned . that any conduct on his part of a similar nature would reopen this case for future action. The action of the stewards at the Saratoga meeting was indorsed and approved iii the case of Silas. Aeitch. It was furtheruordered that the suspension of his trainers license and the refusal of entries of horses in his care be lifted. The application for a jocJ;eys license from George Archibald was referred to the license committee with power to act.
