DOUBLE VICTORY FOR R. PARRS STABLE Who Cares and Paul Jones Carry Maryland Turfmans Colors to Success at Havre de Grace. HAVRE DE GRACE. Md.. September 29. The colors of Ral Parr were much in the limelight at Havre dc Jrace this afternoon. The Maryland turfman furnished the winners of both of the two-year-old races. Who Cares proving an easy winner of the opening dash, while Paul Jones came from behind in the Endurance Purse to get up in the closing strides to beat Azurita by a head. Large fields went to the post in both the three-quarters of a mile dashes, sixteen sporting silk in eileh race. The attendance was large and the racing spirited, with weather and track conditions all that could be desired. Tlie Seagram Stable horses, which have been racing at tlie Maryland meetings, will be shipped back to Canada on "Wednesday to go into winter quarters at the Seagram farm at Waterloo. The youngsters in the stable did not come to up expectations, and it was for this reason mainly that it was decided to retire the horses for the remainder of the year. Secretary McLennan received word from Mrs. Musgrave this morning that funeral sen-ices over the body of her lute husband, jockey Phil Mus-grave, will be held in Mount Vernon. Indiana, tomorrow. Edward Ilurke, on behalf of the local club, sent a check of 00 to the widow of the late rider. Edward Seagram, for whose father, tlie late Joseph E. Seagram, Musgrave rode, also seat a check to the widow. Arcliio Zimnier has purchased the plater Water Commander J. K. L. Ross yearlings had their filial trials at Laurel on Friday and were then shipped to the farm to go into winter quarters. Tlie youngsters worked quarters around 24 and were not asked to go as fast as they had on some previous occasions. There are twenty-eight youngsters in the band, several of which were bred at Mr. Ross farm In Quebec. The latter were broken by Frank Stevens. .1. W. Graver arrived at Laurel from Toronto, Canada. He brought the racers Goblet, Uncle John and Rock Silk with him. The latter is the property of Harvey Sproul. Two special horse trains left Havre de Grace for Laurel yesterday and another pulled out this morning. At the conclusion of the races here another special will leave for Laurel and one for the Jamaica track. Jockey Rodriguez will go to New York with the James Arthur stable.
