JOHN JR. raced prominently from the start and held on gamely in the stretch drive. SAY WHEN gained steadily and was going fast at the end. AMELITA ran well. BLAISE closed a big gap and would have been dangerous with a good ride. SQUEELER set the pace briefly and quit. Won driving; second and third the same. EAST INDIAN, hard ridden and kept well up from the start, finished gamely and outstnved GOLDEN DAWN. The latter showed high speed at once and maintained a good lead until in the last eighth, where she tired. PRINCE PAL dwelt at the start and was far back in the first eighth, but gained steadily and finished fast. SWEEP JR. had no mishaps. KEEP tired. MAMIE O. ran a good half milo. BURGOYNE raced for-wardly to the last eighth, where he tirpd. METEM tired in the stretch drive. ST. GERMAIN was going well at the end.
