LOUISVILLE CUP TO BE RUN TOD A Y SMALL FIELD NAMED TO START IN THE CLOSING DAY FEATURE OF TEE KENTUCKY RACING SEASON OF 1919 Eight horses arc named to contest the Louisville Cup at two miles. In view of the probable state of the track a lesser number may go to the post. However that may turn out, an interesting struggle seems in prospect. The weather man has been unkind in the matter of the Kentucky long distance stake races of this fall, but it is a matter beyond redress. Perhaps recompense may come next year in clear skies and fast tracks. According to the consensus of Louisville opinion Midway is the probable favorite, and when at his best he is a downright good race horse and an excellent weight carrier. In the meantime the other horses all have credentials entitling them to consideration, and at best the result of the long race under trying track conditions comes under the head of doubtful. The following tabulation should assist in solving the problems of the race, El Rey and Minto II. not being likely to start: Horse. Col. Sex. Age. Jockey. Wt. Odds. Trainer. Owner. Regalo b. f. 3..C.
