ENGLISH MARES FOR PAGE BROOK Seven Beautifully-Bred Ones on the Sea for Trap Rocks Harem. BALTIMORE. Md., November 4. The Page Brook Stud of Captain Philip M. Walker, which is in Clarke County, Virginia, will presently be reinforced by seven well-bred English mares. The list follows: Togs, ch., 11, by St. Fruisqilin Ripple, by Kendal. Electric Fuse, b., 5, by Henry the First Sliimose; by Slmontault. Rosy Tidings, b., 11, by Ladas Sweet Eglantine, by Sorcerer. Operation, for., 10, by Velocity Silver Thread, by Ayrshire. Dorothy Court, h., 12, foy Robert le Diable Cherry Lass, by Isinglass. Metrique, li., 10, by Melton Ulrique, by St. Frus-quin. Star Emerald, h., 4, foy Sunstar Ilibernia, by Lavcno. These mares are now on the sea bound for their new home. Togs, Operation and Melrique are due to foal in the spring to Sunstar, sire of Star Hawk and North Star, whose service fee is ,000. Electric Fuse. Busy Tidings, Dorothy Court and Star Emerald are due to foal to Black Jester, whose service fee is ,500. They will be bred in the spring at Page Brook to Trap Rock, brother to Tracery and himself the sire of Lucullite. Trap Rock is a son of Rock Sand and Topiary. He was at service at Major August Belmonts stud for several years. Captain Walker and Samuel Ross of Washington bought him a fortnight ago and he is already installed at his new home. Trap Rock is the second high-class sim of Rock Sand to be placed in Virginia this year. The1, first was Vulcain of the family of Lord of the Vale. Watervale, Masterman and Mad Hatter, also the sire of Thunderclap, Sway and Toucanet. Vulcain is at Henry T. Oxnards Blue Ridge Stud in Fauquier County. Page Brook will probably have a good class three-year-old running next year in Irish Dancer, a son of Celt and Ballet Dancer II., and a half-brother of The Porter. Irish Dancer belongs to Commander J. K. L. Ross, and he worked fast at Laurel Park a couple of Aveeks back.
