MARYLAND JOCKEY CLUBS OFFICERS NEW. YORK, N. Y.. December 8, Af a recent meeting of the Maryland Jockey Cliib the officers elected for 1020 were C. E. McLane, president; R. J. Walden, vice-president; W. P. Rigs. secretary; Clarence J. Reynolds, treasurer, and Frank J. Bryan, racing secretary. Thomas Clyde was appointed on the executive committee. Mr. Clyde has been out of racing for the past few years, but will again liecome active. As well as being on the executive committee he will tilso. be a member of the board of directors, us will Alfred Hennan Morris, who has not heretofore been identified with the management of Pimlico. The good mare Ophelia, which won many races at the Bowie fall meeting, lias been sick since her return to winter quarters, but is recovering. It is not a serious illness. Mrs. Ambrose Chirk owns probably the largest stable of steeplecrase horses ever possessed, by one person in this country. She has twenty in charge of Tim Donohue at Aiken, South Cnrolina, where they will be prepared for the season of 1920. Within the next few days a carload of steeplechasers le-longins to various owners will leave here consigned to Alien.
