ANOTHER GREAT CROWD AT HAVANA Immense Attendance Sees Fine Sport at Oriental Panw Feature to Hubbub. HAVANA, Cuba, December 27. Once again Oriental Park, was crowded to its capacity and the splendid program provided by racing secretary Martin Nathanson furnished some of the best racing of the meeting. The Parque Central Handicap, the main attraction of the day, fell to W. J. Press Hubbub, which scored in masterly fashion. He was xaved until rounding the far turn, and after disposing of Blue Wrack at the head of the stretch easily held Kiku safe in the final eighth. Orestes lost his rider soon after the start as a result of his unruly behavior at the post. The opening dash brought the downfall of Senor Diaz Bavensea. the favorite, the Sea King colt falling a victim to the superior speed of Perfect Lady. Earl Linnells Big Smoke found little or no opposition in the second race and simply cantered throughout to win by four lengths. The crack apprentice rider F. Cliiavetta rode one of Iiis characteristic finishes to land Duke Ruff a winner in the third, the Cuban-owned three-year-old coming from the rear with great speed and courage to overtake the leader in the last eighth and outgamed him in the final strides. The finish of the sixth race, a dash of one mile, found Jose de Vales a winner by a short head after a sensational ierformance. El Coronel had shown the way to the last few yards when Jose de Vales, coming from the rear on the outside, finished with terrific speed and got up in the final stride. Harlock. favorite iu the fourth race, was badly messed about in the early running and had no chance thereafter, while Betterton set a fast pace throughout .and gamely resisted the best effort of Brizz. securing the decision after a warm finish. Jockey W. Brown rode his sixth winner at this meeting when he won witli Mike Dixon yesterday, aud also lost his eight-pound apprentice allowance at the same time.
