Special resolutions on the death of Mr. Andrew Miller, a member and steward of the Jockey Clab, were nnaniniously adopted, as were resolutions of regret an the death of Mr. Ralph J. Preston, a member of the Jockey Clab. Mr. August Belmont. Mr. F. K. Sturgis. Mr. John Saiifnrd and Mr. It. T. Wilson were re-elected -towards of the Jockey Clab for the next two years. No action was taken on the following amendment 1o the rules of racing: "No trainer shall atari any home with toe calks on the platen." At the animal meeting of the -rewards of the Jockey Clab there were present August Belmont. F. K. Sturgis. II. K . Knapp. John Baafard and It. T. Wilson. Mr. August Belmont was re-elected cliairman. Sir. I. K. Btarghl was re-elected vice-chairman and Mr. H. K. Knapp was reelected secretary and treasurer of the Jockey Clab for the year 19:20. In motion duly seconded Mr. Joseph E. Widener was elected a member of the board of stewards of the Jockey "lub. On motion duly seconded Messrs. F . R. Hitchcock. 11. K. Knapp and Joseph B. Widener were appointed a license committee of the stewards of the Jockey Club. In motion duly seconded on the report of tin-stewards of the association meeting of the Empire City Baeing AnsoeiatJea the trainers- license of O. H. Gerry was elected a member of the board of directors. Howland was elected an oaorary member of the nassclntloa for life. Edward Brandon Hurst was granted a certificate as a gentleman rider subject to the approval of the Hunts committee. Trainers licenses were granted to M. Brady, H. lle-g.-in. M Henderson and Sihis Yeitch. Jockeys licenses were granted to I.. Cheyne. Har-»ey Williams and M. Henderson.
