JOHN s. BEAHDON. energetically ridden and away fast, set a good pace and finished gamely. but was lu ky to aria. COINTREAU, much the best, was away --lowly and only ridden hard after she was ntraightened away fully in the stretch, then finished fast and would have won in another stride. JOB TAG raced forwurdly and gamely all the way. PEERAGE was also away poorly and dosed a gap. QUEEN OP TRUMPS tired and was eased up in the last sixteenth. Scratched— 15S03 Alcatraz. 12b. BAI.I.YBELL began slowly and raced wide, but linished with a rush when ridden hard. SIMPLETON raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and tired. The latter set the early pace, ran a good race and might have won but for being in close qaarters. DISCUSSION was taken back on the last turn and suffered from interference when MANOEYRE stumbled.
