March 0.— The horses belonging to Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Jeffords, which I are being trained by Michael Daly at Berlin, bid fair to cut quite some figure in tin- racing of I I ! this year. There are twenty two in number, half I of which are two-year-olds, many of thein carrying i the bland of the best American thoroughbreds. In the older division there are such horses as Gulden BlOUm, which, for a time last year, was considered the equal of Man o War and showed remarkable speed on one or two occasions. According to his trainer Golden Broom has wintered well and l- going perfectly sound. The same may be said of Hoodwink, both of which were under a slight suspicion last autumn. "Today they both look perfectly clean and give every appearance of training -ounilly. -aid their trainer. Besides this pair there are Roiitledge. Star Hamilton. Kinnoul ami others of possibly less importance, but horses which will win in their respective classes. Regarding the two-year-olds. Mr. Daly says be can say little about them at present more than they are a good looking band and what they have shown impresses him that some of them will turn out satisfactorily. It is probable the best of the stable will be taken to Kentucky for their spring engagements and will race in that state until the opening at Brlmont lark. after which the east will be their capping grounds. Ambrose has usually ridden for the .leffords stable in the past and it is presumed he will do -o again when po— ilile.
